TORONTO FC DEFEAT NEW YORK RED BULLS 2-1 AT CAROLINA CHALLENGE CUP
Toronto holds on for a 2-1 victory over New York. Greg Sutton was call upon to stop a Dave Van Den Bergh penalty midway through the second half to keep Toronto ahead. While New York held much of the possession, especially in the second half, Toronto by no means looked out of place in Charleston tonight. Toronto FC were missing Carl Robinson, Andy Welsh, and Paulo Nagamura tonight, while New York pretty much had its full complement with the exception of 17 year old phenom striker Jozy Altidore.
