TORONTO FC DRAFT PICK ON TRIAL WITH MONTREAL IMPACT..

According to a news release issued by the Montreal Impact, Toronto FC Draft pick, and University of Rhode Island product Jeff Gonsalves, is listed as being on trial with the the USL team. The Markham native was not asked to attend the Sunrise Florida training camp in February by Toronto, yet was said to have been offered a developmental contract according to a newspaper report. According to another newspaper report last week, Gonsalves was again participating with Toronto FC at U of T. Also attending the Montreal training camp according to the release, are goalkeeper Jon Paul Piques, who was released from Toronto FC training at the end of last week, and Matt Palleschi who attended the Toronto FC camp in Woodbridge in early February.

piques said on bigsoccer that he is not going to montreal to try out for the impact. he's waiting to see what happens with tfc.
