TORONTO FC SIGN BACKUP...
Toronto FC have solved their backup situation (at least for the short term) with the transfer of 24 year old Canadian Srdjan Djekanovic from the Vancouver Whitecaps of the USL. Djekanovic who was born in Serbia, has been involved with various Canadian youth teams and the University of British Columbia, as well as with the Whitecaps FC as a reserve keeper.

He's great. He's tall, he has good reach, and he's a Canadian.
What does it matter when Toronto FC can't even score a goal. Did you ask your strikers the same question?
BTW, as a fan of the Whitecaps FC we'd like to have him back when you done in the MLS.
my questions had nothing to do with strikers.. not sure why you mention that.
the reason I ask if he's any good is that TFC already had a backup in Tomer Chencinksi, and I can't believe that this guy is that much better.
I just don't understand why this happened, except maybe that Tomer left the team.
Nagamura and a Draft pick for Guevara is what Goff at Washingtonpost is hearing. I think this is a huge upgrade for you despite Guevara being a headcase, bc Robinson and the rest of the MF is just so bad. Guevara would instantly be the best player on TFC. I think this is the first good move Mo has made...
Anon #1 and 3: Tomer was released. They didn't have a backup signed. Anon #2 asked about strikers because the question, theoretically, is a valid one to put to a team that's not scoring--though, in essence, I agree with you; the point is moot when asking for any basic info about a recent signee. For instance, if I didn't know who Dichio was when they signed him, I would have asked the same question: who is he, is he any good?
