Oh great! Another aging slow Englishman.

Yeah, a nobody who lost his spot to a has-been all of a sudden is good enough for TFC and MLS.

Is Toronto FC a soccer club or a retirement home? I can't remember where but I remember seeing this guy play somewhere before. I just looked at his record and its pretty impressive, but it doesn't change the fact that he is another 30 something player coming here for the twilight of thier career.

hey guys, wake up. why a quick and good english player in his 20s would come here?
this is MLS, nothing more nothing less. i really think people of toronto expect way too much and don't understand the dynamic of it all. reality is, the best MLS payers can barely make it in the premiership, with a few exceptions (bocanegra, beasley, howard...). and again, these are the top 10 of the league. so relax please : )

hi preston north end fan here.having watched Dichio for some time id like to confirm your worst fears, not only is he slow he is the slowest pro footballer in the world.Add to that his inabilty to hit a cows arse with a banjo and a bigger turning circle than the Qe2,i think you have made quite a signing.enjoy

The MLS is about the standard of League One in En-ger-land and Dichio would score a ton in that league.

More than good enough for you.

As a Preston fan also, all I can say is you got a great player there. The previous poster was an idiot quite clearly. He is experienced and has a physical presence in both attack and defence. Both characteristics that are sorely lacking at Toronto as teams like NE are highlighting. In response to the 'oh great! another aging ....' comment: He cant make Toronto look any worse than they do now...laughable last games.

We need a new chant for opening day....

Hey, Ho, No Mo Mo!

In the event Dichio doesn't pan out, I just hope Toronto isn't stuck paying his salary for several years. MLS is a league where cap room is critical. Of all the moves so far, this one worries me the most.

To the Preston fan calling me an idiot. If Dichio is such a great player why could he not get in our team, and why at such a crucial stage in the season have we released him?It doesnt take an IDIOT to work out that he isnt any good! And if you need any more proof the fact that it took him over 40 games to score his 1st league goal is a bit of a giveaway! You are obviously whats known in the game as a blindfaither, you cant see a bad player due to your Preston tinted specs.

Just great! We get Dichio while a team like New York gets Angel!!

Are we trying to be a laughing stock?
